Facing fellow countryman before top games
[ 2010.03.05. ]
PSV did not have much time to train together before Saturday’s match against NAC Breda, as several team members returned from their national squads on Thursday. Despite his injury last week, Balázs will most probably play.
Dzsudzsák travelled home to the national team too, but physicians of the team agreed that he should not play against Russia, so he went back to Eindhoven and took part in the Thursday morning training. Other team members only arrived later in the day, so Fred Rutten had his whole team together again Friday afternoon. Erik Pieters missed the training due to the knee injury he suffered against the Polish national youth squad, but he is not seriously hurt.
Saturday’s game is important for PSV, because afterwards they will have two real top games: in the 27th round Ajax Amsterdam will be their opponent, and on the 28th day they will be facing Twente, so the championship could actually be decided in March. The Breda fixture is not expected to be an easy one. Even though Breda did not win in the last three rounds, the game counts as a local title bout. In addition Balázs is likely to face his fellow countryman, Csaba Fehér who is usually rightback for Breda. PSV won the spring game in the Philips stadium 3-1, but they lost 2-1 in Breda. Since that game was the only one for Balázs so far, he has the chance to improve his results against Breda.
