PSV First training accomplished

[ 2010.06.25. ]

PSV Eindhoven has started training for the new season, although yet without the players attending the World Cup and the ones being on longer leaves. Jonathan Reis of Brazil is training with PSV again.

PSV held their first training on 24th June, but Fred Rutten had to make do without several club-members: some are playing in the World Cup, some (including Balázs) were allowed longer holidays, and recent transfer Atiba Hutchinson of Canada is training only partly due to his knee-surgery. Jonathan Reis, on the other hand, is in Eindhoven again; he was discharged in winter on disciplinary grounds, but it seems he is getting another chance from management. From Friday former defender of the club, Wilfred Bouma will be training with PSV too – his contract with Aston Villa, England expired. The Dutch player, capped 35 times is a free agent at the moment and asked for permission to train with the club in order to keep fit. Rutten does not rule out a potential contract from PSV.

Did you know...

... that Balázs scored his first international goal against FC Copenhagen in the Europa League, in November 2009? This goal earned PSV points in the away game.
